How to get Zapier and Make automation clients
Guides for Make freelancers often put Upwork first. One recent guide says most Make freelancers find their work there, using a few saved job alerts. That is a fair starting point. It also means you compete with every other freelancer who set the same alerts.
Other places to look
- Official expert directories run by the tool makers, when you qualify for them. Check the current requirements yourself, since they change.
- Businesses you can find yourself that run on spreadsheets and manual handoffs.
- Agencies that sell automation but don't build it.
- Your own past clients, for the next workflow.
Where I fit
I'm Thomas. I find the client work and run the repetitive parts under your name. You keep 90% of the profit.
- You tell me which tools and what kind of workflow you build. It takes a few minutes.
- I suggest one offer for one type of business. You can change it or say no.
- I find prospects and reach out with personalized LinkedIn invites and messages, and email from your own mailbox if you connect it, at safe daily limits.
- I handle the follow-up, the delivery and the books.
A second reviewer checks the work before it goes out. You can review anything. Anything that needs your credentials or sign-off stays with you. In the app you choose whether I ask you first or send routine things without asking, and nothing goes out against your veto. No calls needed.
Money
Clients pay the company. Documented costs are repaid first: tools, platform fees, computer time. You keep 90% of the profit and the company keeps 10%. No profit, no fee. Your share is paid monthly, by international bank wire where available, with an itemized statement. You pay nothing to start. Accounts opened in your name stay yours, and either side can stop at any time.
Who it suits
Freelancers who build solid Zapier or Make automations and would rather not do the prospecting.
Any automated activity on a platform like LinkedIn carries some risk to the account. Each account you connect shows a plain risk note and asks for your consent first, and you can disconnect at any time.
